Tokyo Fashion week is all about the windswept look!
We are hoping this is one trend that doesnt catch on, however living in the UK, the windswept look is definately something that can be achieved with little or no effort and something we could potentially champion every day!
Japanese designer, Hiromichi Ochiai, showcased his label Facetasm a Tokyo Fashion Week. His catwalk features models who’s hair was swept severely to one side and their faces were white.
Contouring may have been big news this year, courtesy of Kim Kardashian and the likes, but come spring 2016, we will all be rocking windswept hair, clown-esque pink cheeks and completely white faces, if the beauty gurus backstage at Tokyo fashion week have a say.
Behind the scenes at the SS16 shows, the most talented hair and make-up artists in the world worked like a well-oiled machine to set the next season’s beauty trends. But whilst strobing and tantouring (that’s contouring with fake tan) will be welcome beauty trends come next year, some trends, it seems, are better left on the runway.
Hiromichi Ochiai label is a combination of streetwear which meets high fashion and he has been touted as a designer to watch, it was his models’ make-up, rather than his designs, that garnered all the attention.
Are you liking this look? Can you see it catching on?
