Katy Perry "Part Of Me"

Katy Perry – Part of Me

Katy Perry is to put her career on hold following the breakdown of her marriage to comic Russell Brand.
The US singer, 27, will take an extended break from the end of next month, saying: “I need to let my heart heal.”
Katy will be shown curled up, crying and unable to move following the split in a documentary film about her rise to stardom – Katy Perry: Part of Me – which will be released on July 5.
And she has now hinted the reason for the break-up after just 14 months of marriage was her career preventing her spending more time with Russell, 37.
Katy said: “For a modern woman, it is important to be supported and that there is equality in every aspect.”
She added she was “absolutely not” afraid of falling in love again.
Russell flew into a rage on Graham Norton’s BBC1 show this month, in scenes cut from the broadcast, after being asked about the split.
Katy has insisted, though, she does not regret her failed marriage.

In an interview with Extra’s Mario Lopez, the 27-year-old pop star said: “Everybody asks me if I regret something, they ask me if it’s going to be that one moment [her marriage].
“Actually it’s really a lesson learned and it’s super valuable, I could not buy this lesson.
“And I apply it to my life, I learn and a lot of the time, I get really good material for my songs.”
The stunning brunette explained why she decided to open up about her marital troubles in her upcoming film Katy Perry: Part of Me.
She said: “The whole movie is about overcoming obstacles, overcoming my family, my set of rules and belief systems.”
