Snowjoggers : the New UGGS?!

By now,as you probably know, no wannabe popstar, starlet or heiress would be caught dead in public sporting her 2003 Uggs. So what’s a gal to do? Fear not, because SnowJoggers have arrived. SnowJoggers are the latest boots to take Hollywood by storm…literally. Part sneaker and part snow boot, SnowJoggers are the perfect weapon to aid any big sunglass wearing trendsetter when battling the snow covered streets of Los Angeles.
Nylon winter boots with suede and rubber trim around the out sole. Double velcro closure at the back, with a logo tab at the side. Striped rubber outsole, with a jogging shoe-style rubber sole. Shearling lining. Imported. Spot clean. – .8″h heel; 2.4″h platform – 6.3″h boot shaft – Runs a little short and narrow.
They’re chunky. They’re clumpy. They come in a selection of colours, including baby pink, electric blue and Darth Vader black. They’re Snowjoggers, and they’re probably coming to a pair of feet near you, soon. Be afraid. Be very afraid…
Indeed, like Uggs, they’re starting to attract a bit of a celebrity fan club, with the likes of Sienna Miller, Paris, Lindsay – all the usual suspects, in fact – being seen wearing them. (Nowhere near snow, we hasten to add).
Hailing from Denmark, Snowjoggers are quickly giving the Ugg a run for its money!
The moonboot-cum-athletic shoe has been spotted toasting the toes of Lindsay Lohan, Victoria Beckham, Liv Tyler, and Sienna Miller — quite the warm Hollywood welcome. They come in a rainbow of colors, from pink to white to multi-colored, and retail for £50 – £100. Plus, their profits are given back to the Bangladeshi women who make them.
But the real question is: Would you be caught wearing them?

  1. They're not the prettiest boots ever, but in the snow they're the sensible thing to wear. At least here in Europe winters are getting snowier and snowier and I'd rather be caught wearing these, than break my neck in high heeled boots. (Also you can't really see them in 5 inches of snow. ;))
